I have found it very helpful. The Flash dom has changed but the principles remain the same. Though you would need to change the script to loop through all layers (like currently) then delete all layers others except the one you wish to publish then revert the document to finish the process. I've got 50-100 layers i'm exporting as swf's into After Effects. Most of them need to be loops. Everything works, but all of the created swfs have the same length (whatever the longest layer is) leaving a bunch of empty frames on most swfs.
